I was born and reared on a small farm in Tapiola, Michigan – a rural farming community.  It was a wonderful childhood, the woods and fields were my playground.  The poem by John Greenleaf Whittier “The Barefoot Boy” sums it up well.

Only now that I’m a little older have I had the time to learn these old crafts I’ve heard of and seen from times past.  This website is a work in progress.  New pictures and crafts I am learning etc.  will be added.
